Welcome to Kimo’s Vegas… The Players Edge!!
Out with the old and in with the new… rumor has it that “The Girls Next Door” have been replaced by Miss January, Playmate Dasha Astafieva. Seen by her side during last weeks autograph session for the 55th anniversary edition of Playboy Magazine at the Palms was head bunny hunter Hugh Hefner… Is the octogenarian slowing down going from three live in girl friends to one?
Guys were standing in line to play with Carmen Elektra when she donned a bunny outfit to deal blackjack at the Playboy Club. Would you take marriage advice from a woman who was married for 9 days to NBA All Star, Dennis Rodman? Her advice… “Don’t get married in Vegas. Don’t get married at the drive through in Vegas”.
At the finale of Mamma Mia! were Ray & Nancy Sommer regular, every day folk except they’ve spent over $14,000 to see the show 74 times! Shhhh don’t tell them it’s available on DVD.
Preview performances of the Lion King (Mamma Mia’s replacement) start April 22nd and the show goes live (meaning full price) on May 9th. Tickets start at $53 and scale up to $168.50 and go on sale February 28th at thier website. How long will the Mandalay Bay continue to host Disney’s biggest show and the AVN the Adult Video Entertainment Expo?
Seven out… The Ritz-Carlton at Lake Las Vegas has filed for bankruptcy protection.
Opened in February of 1995 The Joint at the Hard Rock is closing… but not for long. Motley Crew complete with home video star drummer Tommy Lee, will be playing the last notes in the room on February 6th & 7th. When it re-opens in April the Joint will be fatter… about twice the size of the old roach and include seven VIP suites and over 700 stadium-style seats.
Wanna see Boyz II Men, Michael McDonald, Willie Nelson, LeeAnn Rimes, Blondie and Chicago for free? Buffalo Bill’s Resort & Casino about 50 miles away from the strip is giving away free tickets to these shows and more…
It’s not quite a sport (yet) but you can drink beer and win $50,000 just like Ron Hamilton & Michael Popielarsky did at the World Series of Beer Pong. No need rush… you’ve got an entire year to practice for the next World Series. To play “Beer Pong” opponents face each other on a 14’ table that has cups filled with beer lined up like bowling pins. The objective is to bounce a ping pong ball into all of the other team’s cups forcing them to drink the beer. The last team standing… the last team with beer in their cup(s) wins. I know a few guys who think it should be the other way around (the winner gets to drink the beer) but with over 400 teams it’d be tough to make it to the semi’s.
The association of travel professionals, Travel Leaders has revealed the results of its annual survey and the winners of the Top 5 domestic destinations are:
#5 New York City, NY
#4 Honolulu, HI #3 Kahului, Maui #2 Orlando, Florida
#1 Las Vegas, Nevada
For the 13th month in a row McCarran Airport officials report that passenger traffic at is down 14.7 percent in November compared to November 2007.
Did you hear about the house in Las Vegas that sold for $35,000! The homes original price was around $106K in 2001 the bank’s cash in advance, as-is deal sold quicker than you could say “but it’s a fixer upper”.
