Welcome to Kimo’s Vegas… The Players Edge!
Eh you da kine ‘eh? If you were at Penn & Teller last week the guy familiar looking guy in the audience with you was the host of this year’s Emmy Awards and the star of “How I met Your Mother”, Neil Patrick Harris.
Spocked checking out The Venetian’s, Las Vegas Phantom Hawaii’s own Chapman family… of the Duane Dog (not MidWeek) lineage.
Shop ‘till show time… now through December 15th at the Miracle Mile Shops spend at least $500 and get a pair of tickets to see Phantom, Blueman, George Wallace, Donny & Marie, Peepshow, Human Nature or Penn & Teller for free... click to get the Kimos Vegas hookup.
Last week Penn National Gaming offered to buy the assets of the Fountainbleau for pennies on the dollar… before the ink dried on their offer, Carl Ichan the ex-Stratosphere owner and billionaire upped the bankrupt casino’s ante to over $156 million… that’s in addition to the estimated $1.5 billion needed to bring the resort to fruition.
Vegas math… Steve & Elaine Wynn each own 24 million shares of Wynn Resorts, currently trading north of $60 a share!
The Thrill is back… B.B. King’s Blues Club is now open at the Mirage…
Now open at the Golden Nugget the new Rush Tower with all new rooms that are 20% larger and loaded with two or three LCD TV’s… ask casino host John Gianos for the upgrade. And check out the aquarium behind the tower’s front desk!
Also open "The Magical Forest"… bring the Keiki and look for The Enchanted Carousel, the Forest Express Trains, live music, holiday displays, millions of lights and jolly old’ St. Nick now through January 2nd this is an annual fundraiser for Opportunity Village (the not-for-profit organization that serves people with intellectual disabilities)…
Check out the “The Capital of the New World”, CityCenter before it opens at CityCenter.
The longest running soap opera on television (as documented by the Guinness Book of World Record) “Guiding Light” has seven’ed out after 57 years. Fans can say Aloha to Light stars in person at the Rio Convention Center. There’s a silent auction to benefit the Susan G Komen, Cure for Southern Nevada that includes items from the shows sets, jewelry worn by Dinah, a gown worn by Reva and more this Saturday.
If you haven’t been to Vegas in awhile you missed Sin City’s latest innovation… the Stripper mobile. More dangerous than talking on a cell phone while driving the plexiglass trailer toured the Strip complete with the infamous pole and a live entertainer. Fortunately the club’s purveyors saw the City’s point of view and discontinued the gentleman’s club on wheels in the interest of public safety (and their liquor license).
